KKH Tea Collective Original Teh Tarik Recipe
1 tbsp Royal Tea Dust
250ml water
1 tsp condensed milk (sweetened)
1 tbsp evaporated milk
2 tsp sugar
1. Add 1 tablespoon of tea dust into tea sock filter, place into enamel mug and pour 250ml hot boiling water in.
2. Steep for 4-5 mins (reduce steep time if you refer a milder brew).
3. Add 1 teaspoon of condensed milk (increase if you prefer a fuller bodied teh), 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of evaporated milk into a separate glass.
4. Pour steeped tea solution into glass from enamel mug. Stir to mix thoroughly.
5. Pull the tea by transferring tea from glass to enamel mug 4-5 times, gaining height as you tarik to increase frothiness.
6. Serve hot or add ice for a refreshing, chilled Teh Tarik. Enjoy your homemade Teh!
* This is a healthier version which has been tried and tested. If you fancy a sweeter drink, add more condensed milk or sugar!
