Koh Kian Huat, one of the oldest tea company in Singapore, was founded in 1918 by tea merchant, Koh Hoon Peng (Gao Yun Ping).

Koh was born to a tea-making family in Fujian province and his father operated tea houses in Anxi county, a region famed for Tie Guan Yin.

One of the founding members of Singapore Chinese Tea Importer and Exporter Association (SCTIEA) set up in 1928, he was a pioneer in supplying quality tea to the local Chinese community.

Cultural Preservation

Tea is a cultural heritage and art passed down from our ancestors.

In China, teas are often hand-picked, processed by a single farming family that has lived on the same land for many generations. By sharing tea sourced directly from our family-owned tea gardens, we aim to preserve and support the traditional, delicate art and culture of Chinese tea.

Sustainability

Our teas are grown on an eco-tourism tea estate shrouded by clouds and mists, flanked by beautiful mountains and rivers rich in natural minerals.

We believe in sustainability and the use of natural farming methods, working harmoniously with the environment for a balanced eco-system.

We believe in the natural purity of our teas, grown without pesticides and exposure to chemicals. Our tea factory has also achieved several national patents in China, building on our values of quality and service.
